Job description:
· Able to follow specific cooking procedures, and baking methods or instructions as set by the Head Chef.
· Assist in the preparation and production of baked goods, ensuring consistency, quality, and timely execution.
· Maintain full compliance with food safety and culinary standards, including company policies, food safety plans, and daily operational procedures.
· Bring creativity and enthusiasm to the role, contributing new ideas and techniques.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace, upholding high standards of cleanliness and food safety at all times.
· Work collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating respect for colleagues, equipment, and the overall kitchen environment.
· Physical ability to perform the duties of the role, including standing for extended periods, lifting, and working in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
· Baking and Pastry Diploma (or equivalent experience), with a strong foundation in classic and contemporary baking techniques
· Valid Food Safe certification
· Understanding of food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, staying organized and self-motivated while contributing positively to a team environment
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen, maintaining quality, consistency, and attention to detail
· Strong knowledge of fermentation, dough development, and ingredient functionality
· Excellent multitasking and time management skills
