Island Lake Lodge is seeking a motivated individual to join our Maintenance team in the full-time summer position of Maintenance Helper. The ideal candidate is organized, has strong time management and active listening skills, and is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with routine maintenance tasks and ongoing projects

• Support the upkeep of facilities and grounds as directed, including sanding and staining buildings and furniture, yard work, waste management, guest parking monitoring, and wildlife control

• Support Operations with duties such as driving shuttles and SxS vehicles, freight pickups and deliveries, washing company vehicles, and other tasks as required

• Assist with wedding and event setup and teardown

• Provide support to other departments as needed

Job Requirements:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs (23 kg) or more

• Valid BC driver’s license with a safe driving record

• Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays

• Enjoy working in mountainous environments in all weather conditions

Preference will be given to applicants who:

• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and attention to detail

• Are handy, resourceful, and eager to learn

• Hold a valid Class 4 driver’s license
