Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join Island Lake Lodge as a Sales and Reservations agent in our downtown office from May till mid September. Our ideal candidate is highly organized and a strong communicator with excellent phone and email etiquette, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to manage reservations with accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities include creating and managing reservations for winter and summer stays, weddings, corporate events, and activities, while maintaining accurate guest profiles and a thorough knowledge of our offerings.

Job Requirements:

• Develop a strong understanding of the reservations system and perform daily tasks efficiently

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with guests

• Deliver a high standard of customer service, ensuring quality and consistency in every interaction

• Organized, with the ability to multitask and perform well in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent phone etiquette and verbal communication skills; able to respond promptly to phone, email, and walk-in inquiries while resolving guest concerns professionally

• Strong computer proficiency with professional written communication skills

• Attention to detail in creating and managing reservations for individual and group bookings, including maintaining guest profiles and processing payments, deposits, and balances

• Coordinate with tour operators, local businesses, and activity providers to confirm bookings and ensure accuracy across all reservations

• Communicate key operational information through daily reports (“Flash”), reservation systems, and direct communication with office and lodge teams

• Assist with the distribution of marketing materials and maintenance of client databases

• Process retail sales for customers who purchase retail items from the downtown office

• Collaborative and team-oriented, contributing to shared goals and overall success
