Island Lake Lodge is looking for someone to join our Maintenance team in the full-time summer position of Maintenance Helper. The ideal candidate will be organized with strong time-management skills, active-listening abilities and be able to work on their own without direction or as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with routine maintenance and projects.
• Assist with upkeep of facilities + grounds as directed (sanding and staining buildings, furniture, yard work, garbage, monitoring guest parking, wildlife control etc.)
• Supports Operations with; driving shuttles and SxS’s, freight pickups and deliveries, washing company vehicles and other duties as required.
• Assist with Wedding and Events set ups and tear downs.
• Assist with other departments as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be physically fit and able to lift 50lbs or more
• Must have valid BC driver’s license, with a safe driving record.
• Accommodate a flexible work schedule, Weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Enjoy being in the mountains in all weather conditions.
• A current First Aid certificate is an asset

Preference will be given to applicants that possess the following:

• Good work ethic and attention to detail
• Someone who is handy and willing to learn.
• First aid Certificate
• Class 4 driver’s license
