As a Bear Bistro Host/Hostess you set the tone for the Island Lake experience by being the first person to welcome our guests. You play an important role by ensuring a steady flow into the restaurant so the service and culinary teams can deliver the best guest experience. Having a background in the hospitality industry combined with customer service experiences would be an asset.

• Responsibilities will include greeting our guests with friendly conversation, 
• Our Bear Bistro gets busy, which means our host/hostess will need to monitor a waiting list, manage a floor chart with available tables, and be able to communicate with guests who are waiting. 
• Strong interpersonal skill and customer service experience
• Responsible for overseeing the retail shop and retail sales when there is not a designated retail person on shift
• Responsible for making sure guests have water, cutlery and menus when seated
